For my own reference.  Went to the doctor this past Wednesday as a follow-up to the MRI that I had last week.  I have a growth on the upper femur (enchondroma) that he said is not an issue.  However, I have inflammation in both SI joints.  He said this is pretty uncommon to have it in both joints especially where there hasn't been some type of trauma.  It's also an indication of possible autoimmune disorders.  So, he had be go get blood work done to see if anything is going on.  If there are indications then he'll send me to a rheumatologist, if not, he will treat the symptoms.  At first look, it appears that the blood work is coming back negative for autoimmune issues.  I'll have another appt with the doctor soon to go over the results.  Yesterday and today my back/hip have felt better than they have in several weeks.
